Reason for PK: I suspect it had something to do with me joining a faction for an hour and then leaving? I'm a new player, and felt kind of pressured into it as he walked up to me upon my first joining. I had real no idea that it'd mean they come up and kill off my character while I'm having a talk about dresses.

Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: I can't say I have any real idea, but was suggested to make the appeal as there may be rules or exceptions made for new or confused players. If nothing else, I'd only like to speak to staff about it.

Just actually sat down and read through all of the faction related PK options now:

I was nothing important and had done nothing other than join the faction, play security to see if I fit (for 20 minutes) and then got dragged around and taught how to play. I then logged off for a while and did not touch the character. When I rejoined, I had left the faction (I had no idea I needed to go up some crazy chain of command) considering my unimportant rank. I believe this is why they had gone out of their way to have me killed?

Hello, I'm sorry you feel your PK was unjust and thank you for reaching out, you were permanently killed due to the fact of you joining a criminal organization and then leaving on your own volition with no prior warning or no proper request to your higher ups. When you join one of these you receive a pop up box telling you that this may happen.

So that's just it? No conversation otherwise to be had or discussion given my low-ranking initial position?

Normally I would cop it on the chin and leave it without a word, but I don't exactly see my leaving (after an hour if not less) truly affecting anybody. I would have been happy to return the baseball bat if that were what this was about. I've given the PK faction rules a decent scan, and it seems that it does not 100% meet the criteria for character death.

It is not about monetary value, its your due diligence when you join a criminal faction to read the prompt you're given that labels this exact scenario that happened. Leaving a criminal faction with no warning or permission can lead to your death if caught.

I have confirmed that you never actually were directly involved in a felony criminal action which the rule requires in order to protect new players.

This 'left faction' reason is valid for 2 weeks after the individual leaves your organization. If you failed to notice or care before those two weeks expired then clearly this person was not important enough to warrant going after. (Exceptions made if they snitch, falls under a different pk reason) However note that the target not logging on does not affect your ability to place the hit in-game. So give the in-game order before the 2 week expiration, regardless if they log in or not and you will still be permitted to carry out the hit later down the line. (Be careful! If they have already joined a new gang you may have to have an in-game sit down to sanction the hit or you may risk damaging your reputation with the faction they are now in)
