Reason for PK: Cop Shootout

Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?:

Cop was driving around while on Probationary Duty then right after shooting and killing
took a lengthy amount of time to kill the officer even though in the clip you can see I headshot him more than a couple of times, right after me getting shot you can hear him evidentially saying IC "well that's a PK." cop also bled out and died a second after I died.

■ Using OOC terms over Mic, (Such as yelling "thats a pk, thats a pk!" After killing someone) may void the PK entirely. Remain in character at all times.

If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines:

Hi, I was the Probationary Officer in the clip:

I am new to the PK rules so I accidently stated "well that's a PK". Honestly, I have no quarrels with this guy and recommend his PK Appeal get accepted. I just reported his PK because I was told cop shootouts are usually PKs.

Hi, I was the staff member who pked your character. I was showed this clip: Untitled - Clipado com Medal.tv by the Probationary Officer, and I pked you for Violent Confrontation with the Police.

However, another staff member showed me another clip (this one: Untitled - Copy - Clipado com Medal.tv) which shows the cop stated "That´s a pk" at the end of the clip, and provides further context of the situation. As per server rules, all communication must be kept ICLy.

Firstly I’ll reply to your point regarding the officer saying “That’s a PK after killing you”. The rule explicitly states that using OOC terms during/after a PK situation “MAY” invalidate the situation. Key word there being may. It is up to the discretion of the staff member who takes the sit and whoever is handling the appeal if they do appeal.

 

In this situation I’d say the use of OOC terms is not enough to justify accepting this appeal. If the officer was being obnoxious about it hollering “that’s a pk that’s a pk!” after killing you opposed to calmly saying “that’s a pk” I would have a differing opinion. Granted he still shouldn’t have but this was pretty minute usage of OOC terms. Another thing that’s taken into account is whether the officer has a history of doing this. Which this one does not. Seemingly he didn’t even know about this rule and I hope he’ll never do anything similar again.

 

Secondly you mentioned the officer driving as a Probationary Officer. This is more of an IC issue. Once again if he was driving around minging I’d have a differing opinion but he seemed to be preforming his duties within the server rules. Doesn’t invalidate anything in regards to this PK.

 

Lastly you mentioned how the officer bled out after he killed you. He can still PK you even after he dies. Again, doesn’t invalidate anything.
