What is your motivation/reason for applying?:  *Honestly, the server has brought me so much joy. I want to give something back. I care about this community. I want to help where I can to make a real difference. This server is different from others I’ve seen. It stands out. It feels positive, welcoming, and full of good people. I’d like to contribute to that spirit. Maybe I can help by sharing ideas, answering questions, or lending a hand in whatever way is needed. I want to be involved and helpful, not just a member, but someone who helps keep this server great.

Why should you be considered over other candidates?:  *I’m not going to sit here and sing my own praise, but I’m level-headed for the most part. I believe my dedication can be counted on—I follow through even when things get busy. I’m consistent and dependable, so others know they can trust me. I stay calm in pressure and can juggle tasks without panicking. Overall, I bring steady energy, focus, and the kind of reliability that helps a team run smoothly.  
 

Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): I’ve got very limited moderation experience. I was a moderator for a few weeks, but I honestly can’t remember the server name; it ended up shutting down before I got real hands on time. Even though it was brief, I showed up, followed the rules, and tried to keep things organized. I’m a fast learner, respectful, and dependable even when I don’t know all the ins and outs yet. I’m eager for the opportunity to grow and contribute more if given the chance.
 

Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?:I made a mistake early on when I was new to the server. I ended up randomly killing someone who was driving, because I thought their driving was reckless and yes, that was RDM , which is against server rules and I got banned. I’ve definitely learned from that experience. I now understand the importance of following RP rules and handling conflict calmly instead of jumping to extremes. I’m more patient now and know that moderating means guiding and resolving issues, not reacting. Overall, I’m committed to being a fair, thoughtful member who grows from my mistakes
 

Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?:  *I’d like to think that John Gordon has become something of a household name in our community, basically, someone people recognize and think of often. I've also been trying out civilian life under the name Jim Gordan, and I hope that’s left a positive impression too. Overall, I believe most folks see me in a good light well, except maybe those I’ve arrested, although even then I hope it's respectable. I truly care about this community and hope what I’ve contributed reflects that.
 

What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: I have so many great memories from Diverge, but the one that really stands out is climbing through the ranks of the PD. I still remember the night I was hired as a cadet—around 2 AM, with retired Cpl. Joe Ribbentrop. There wasn’t an admin online, so I didn’t have any roles, and I was just handed a video and told, “Good luck!” Later, I got to patrol with Sgt. Cam Stephen. He asked me where I saw myself going in the PD, and I said, “Sgt seems like a good spot.” Now, here I am serving as a Lieutenant. It might not be a single epic moment, but it’s a memory I’ll carry with me. That journey from cadet to Lt, means a lot to me.

Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take.

Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: If I witness someone committing RDM while I’m off-duty, I’d first report it in admin chat and submit a video clip as evidence. If no one responds in time, I’d hop on duty via my staff alt to monitor the behavior directly and see if it continues; step in if absolutely necessary
 

You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do ?: If I noticed a fellow staff member of equal or higher rank misusing their position, I would discreetly collect solid evidence such as logs, timestamps showing repeated , subtle abuse, or Videos and then report it privately to someone higher up in the Command Chain. I’d avoid public accusations or drama and instead trust senior leadership to review the evidence. This ensures accountability while preserving professionalism and confidentiality
 

A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. Does it constitute possible bias?:  I’d look at their history first. If they have a clean record, I’d treat this as a potentially one time incident and not assume bias. However, if they’ve had similar complaints before, I’d consider that their reputation could matter. It can constitute possible bias either way, but as long as the punishment is fair, rather than favoritism, that’s acceptable. Ultimately, consistent enforcement and transparency matter more than personal connections.

Huge -1 does not have the proper attitude to be staff on all his characters I’ve only to see him argue, start instigation and overall act like a douchebag showing no real proper character/RP of himself just instigating random people who aren’t even talking to him

 

since it’s the LITERAL only thing I see you do haven’t ran into you once where you aren’t arguing with someone or trying to start one definitely not a good fit for staff

You are trying to become an staff member on an mafiaRP server. but all you ever do is play as an cop or lawyer, you don't really have real experience with the criminal side of roleplay, which makes me question how well he understands crimeRP. If you’re going to be staff on a crime-focused server, you should at least have a solid grasp of both sides
