Reason for PK: Initiating a gun fight with the police

Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: The reason why I know I should be unPKd is because I did not initiate the gun fight that occurred. What happened was that a white shirt was driving a taxi onto our property trying to run people over. We have told this player to stop and he wouldn't. After killing the driver, Senior Officer Benedetto Porcello runs onto the property and without any RP, he pulls out his cuffs and goes to detain me. Following he shoots my friend who accidentally pulls out a gun and instantly puts it away as seen in the clip provided below. Senior Officer Benedetto Porcello proceeded to shoot my friend and kill him resulting in me pulling out my gun and firing back. Remind you that the cop is the one who initiated the gun fight.

Hi! PK'ing admin here.

So, as you broke down already the officer came on to your property to detain you and question you. This is valid as the officer visibly watched you shoot the car. While detaining you, a friend of yours pulls out your weapon and aims it at the officer. This lead to a valid kill by the officer. This was a separate violent conflict from yours.

On to your and why you were PK'd. While you may defend your friends from other citizens, criminal factions etc, that does not apply to officers the same way. Their conflict was over and then you chose to fire your weapon at the officer starting your own confront with him. You inevitably lost that gun fight and died leading to your PK.

The rules surrounding a cop initiating the gun fight invalidating the pk only apply to the person to which the officer shoots, as long as they have not broken fear RP or initiated a shootout with the officer first. An example would be: A man is running away from police. Police officer opens fire on him. He is now free to retaliate against that officer without the risk of PK.

However; in this case the officer had a valid reason to shoot your friend, and you are to begin with not your friend. This protection does not apply to you. You saw your friend get shot by a cop, and you shot at the cop and lost. This is a valid PK, you should not shoot at cops who have not shot at you.
