Reason for PK: Metagamed from other faction

Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: I was only playing this character to help prove that the Italian factions were metagaming me. I never touched anything illegal on this character or any of the rackets besides oil. I have only spent a few hours on this character and would have no reason to be PKed. I was a hangaround and was removed from the Cassano discord after being PKed by the Altoviti faction yesterday. I had not told Altoviti about my Cassano character and they should in no way be connected other than through meta-gaming. I had no in character knowledge of any criminal activity during my time working at Cassano so they would have no reason to treat me as more than a employee and fire me. 

If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines:

Could you name your part in the PK? Also those charges were last night by a probie who got me for defending myself. Didn't take place on any company property either. (This also all happened after I was metagamed out of the Cassano discord)

Hello Lessrecoil, I was the admin that oversaw the PK.  You were PKed for "breaking several faction rules and causing issues with allies" In this situation the causing issues with allies could be a ton of things, but from what I've seen it was you running over fellow commission members, the faction rules that you broke are bringing heat the family and insubordination.  I can not speak on the "metagaming" claim as I have close to no affiliation with either faction besides the alliance.  

When joining a faction you get a prompt:

By accepting these risks you sign your life away.  If your claims are true, I hope your character gets unPKed and sorry for the inconvenience

Standing in the road and being run over are synonymous. If you can kill a hangaround for bad driving even though they have no knowledge of any criminal activity I would be very surprised. As far as causing trouble with allies, I don't think that what I do on another character that I never told either faction about should effect my other character's PK. I never brought any heat to the family as everything I did was after being removed from the company pager as well as I was never informed of any family/criminal organization, as far as I knew, I worked as a bouncer at the Trattoria. Thank you for your competent response and I hope to see both of these PKs overturned.

This is pretty obviously a retaliatory killing for things that occurred on a different character. Even if it isn't the explicitly stated reason it obviously subconsciously influenced people's emotions when performing/ordering the kill. While, I can't force you to play with the person or accept them into your faction you also can't use things or feelings about situations that allegedly occurred on other characters as a reason or means to issue PK orders.

Addressing this, I see a lot of internal faction PKs being done with the reason of 'bringing heat' and while this can be a valid reason to remove a potentially problematic person it's also being taken to an extreme where an individual with a felony won't be hired or will be killed just because they have interacted with an aspect of the reality of being a criminal. 

You are a criminal, mafia organization, it's really not uncommon to work with criminals and individuals who have felonies, having a felony or being arrested on minor charges is NOT a valid reason to order someone's death. 'Bringing heat' means that as a result of their actions there is an active police investigation or due to their actions another member of the faction was arrested and implicated, simply being arrested for a crime unrelated to the greater faction is irrelevant. You must provide direct evidence that their activities have brought heat and done damage to the faction or their members. 

We'll likely be demanding more direct evidence that a person being arrested would cause actual tangible damage moving forward, I.E

• Caused an investigation
• Caused a search/seizure/warrant to be issued and executed
• Caused a fellow faction member(s) to be implicated or arrested
• provided information or testimony which harmed the faction (Snitching)

I will aim to amend the PK rules to reflect this.

 

As for Francis Pastore he was seemingly not involved in the criminal side of things and could have easily been un whitelisted nor was his arrest a detriment to the faction. 

He will be un'pked, moved out of the whitelist and all knowledge he may have had is voided.
