Azoro
As a Law Enforcement Officer, we get a lot of cases. The lockers get filled up quickly in the evidence room, and randomly it gets completely wiped. Ruining cases for both the NYPD and DA's Office. Key Evidence, gone. Logically, we shouldn't put said evidence in our bank accounts, but recently it is seeming like the only choice. That is why I propose if possible, a new system that could be utilized similar to the Bank Account system. An Evidence Locker system granting every officer their own evidence locker where they can store evidence. Like banks, they can grant access to fellow officers on the case. Because at the current rate, evidence is becoming completely useless how many times lockers get wiped. 1 3 Link to comment
Buzz
I was told that a photo of evidence for logging is enough. I had a case for search warrant, and taking photos of weapons, contraband, and drugs. The physical presentation of weapons for cases is not needed anymore. I understand you wish to keep the guns or drugs. The drugs can be sold by the NPC. I know people continue storing guns. I think there should be a legal process of only detectives who wish to repossess those guns for operations or investigations. The serial number is already enough if someone already possessed in logs. If a patrol bureau like me make search warrant and it was approved, then I think the detective bureau should notified every bust made. I don't mind a police bank ATM, but I feel it may be abused. Hope my comment make sense. Edited January 23 by Buzz Link to comment
KingJewMonaclu
Yeah you don't need the actual items for court. It's not a show and tell. A picture suffices. Link to comment
Logan
The only time the item matter is if the person is found not guilty/acquitted then all legal items are to return to then otherwise the city compensates them in said list item Link to comment
