What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * I want to help moderate the serve by taking tickets and therefore helping other players who are waiting for their issue to be resolved. And learn new things along the way. The only server where I have staffed is Prometheus and the server atmosphere is a bit different compared to this one so I would take staffing here as a new challenge. I also wish to contribute even more to the server as I have been playing for a long time but never really had the chance to have a good impact on it so this is the perfect chance for me to do this. Besides these reasons, I also have work experience in customer service (irl) so it will be nice to apply the skills I have into moderating the server, showing patience, making sure people are satisfied with the assistance provided, avoiding bias, and so on. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I would say the fact that I am a really patient person. I always try to look for a solution instead of a problem because most of the times people make a ticket and they just want to be heard and being fair to all parties is a great way to go. I am also a kind person who really just wants to help the community. Back when I was staff on another server, I always investigated the situations and always made sure to listen to everyone, learn from the ones above me, share feedback, learn from experience too. If a player minges, breaks server rules, etc then I will do my duty as staff and also educate the player on how to not repeat the same mistakes, providing resources for them to read upon (server rules) and also enforcing the roleplay aspect of the server which I believe is something I can definitely do. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: Yes, I have. For LTARP (2 day ban) because I was arrested by a cop and I intentionally disconnected to avoid further punishment. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: *I am not really well known by the whole community. Possibly some people know me icly, others oocly, but that is mainly because of the different timezone I´m in as most people I know are NA. However, with regards to the few people who know me I would say they see me as someone semi-professional, who minds their own business, likes to have fun, goofy sometimes and serious larper sometimes, a gambling addict because I have spent lots of hours in the casino and lost everything. Also see me as a grinder because I am always grinding whenever I can. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: I like when people host events so everyone can socialize and also when conflicts arise even if they are minor conflicts. How do you handle this?: Clip the situation and let other active staff know about the situation. If no other staff are online, then I would take the sit and clip the sit so other staff know situation has been handled accordingly. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Clip the situation/s and ask a higher ranking staff member (not involved in the situation) for advice on what to do especially if it is a higher ranking staff member breaking server rules. Before this, I would also tell the staff member breaking the rules to stop doing what they are doing. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: If there are other staff online I would let them take the sit as it would constitute possible bias. If no other staff are online, then I would take the sit, clip the situation, and ask the reporter for evidence, treating the sit as any other. ---------------------------------------------------------

I like the faction app and you guys seem organized with an hierarchy and everything, plus the video is fire (don´t listen to the haters, they base their whole roleplay in racist remarks). Besides, a new faction brings new blood to the server and new rp opportunities. Good luck!

A good idea that I would like to see implemented

A good, genuine guy who likes helping others, has been dedicating a lot of time to the server and some people already know him in a short span of time. Give him a chance

Let me break it down for you: me and everyone else who said the guy is not cheating, said so because they looked at every single clip, all the comments, etc and not only a singular clip of the retarded guy shooting at the wall. Me quoting that said clip just goes to demonstrate that you and everyone else is just trying to ban a regular player who does not use cheats because of ignorance when it comes to cheating. Now you said you know how to detect cheats so show everyone proof that the guy is cheating and not only base your opinion on some clips that honestly do not prove anything at all. On top of this, the fact you refused to spectate Hans gameplay and his computer files to see if he had cheats just goes to show you are so convinced that the guy is cheating that you don´t even want to investigate further. To ban someone for cheating needs substantial proof over the span of a few gameplays + investigating their pc files in real time + comparing it to different gameplays in different video games even with different settings in place + spectating ingame within different angles to properly come to that conclusion (something that you did not do, otherwise we would not have this ban appeal in place with so many people going off some clips solely). If you had done proper investigation then there would be no place for doubts.

Ban reason is hacking? If you claim the guy to be cheating at least specify the cheats he used in the ban reason. But no, he is not cheating. You see crazier shit in cs-go and some of the guys are not even pros. Honestly, a lot of players including myself just suck at pvp and Gmod is an old game full of bugs, lag, etc. Not to mention the fact that PM-9 is an op gun and even I can kill anyone with it. Also the guy shooting at the wall with a PM-9 to demonstrate the guy is cheating is just outrageous. Do you want to compare a moving target with a wall? Just unban the guy and get good at pvp.

I absolutely agree especially after talking with you in dms on discord. The LTARP was completely my fault and I appreciate the fact you were lenient with me. Lesson learned on my part

Why should you be unbanned? I do admit to the LTARP because I intentionally pressed escape and then disconnect from the server so I was expecting to be banned for LTARP for sure. However, the way the whole situation unfolded was not fair. To begin with, I was doing a car trunk deal with a friend and we were always careful to not do the trade deal in front of any cops, we never spoke about drugs out loud, not even whispering about it, we never used codewords for the drugs and we never used the drugs full name. On top of this, we never gave a reason for cops to arrest us nor to act the way they acted. I believe this was a baiting situation from the part of the two cops involved in the situation. They somehow knew me and my friend were trading cocaine bricks even though the word "bricks" was never mentioned to begin with, and then they knew about the trade at all. One of them was also inside the car for some reason and me and my friend were unaware of this and surprised and even shocked because my friend when he realized the cop was inside the car he kicked them out. I spoke with my friend on discord about the situation and with a second friend and both said the situation was unfair and uncalled for. I understand cops have their icly duties, etc but trying to bait people to break rules by breaking rules themselves is not fair play nor should be allowed which is why I am making this ban appeal. The staff member who banned me was Shards and he told my friend that the cops would not be punished in any way which I find really unfair taking into consideration how the situation unfolded. I also believe the cop in question (don´t remember their name but I knew it was them) had an argument (let´s say) with me earlier in the day (like 30 minutes earlier) where he completely ignored people getting punched by a civilian and did not make any attempt to arrest the civilian who killed me after punching me like 5 or 7 times (I even had to call a staff sit for the situation to be dealt with and the staff member found out the civilian was already arrested). It seems to me that this cop chooses when to do his job whenever he wants and has acted in bad faith as a way of revenge or as a way to try to bait people into getting pked or banned. Additional Information (images, videos, etc): I do not have any video evidence of the situation. Also I do not ask for a full unban as I know I broke a server rule but I ask consideration for at least a reduction if you see this ban appeal worth of it. I also admit to use the words "metagame" and "fail rp" in voice chat which would constitute NITRP from my part but it was not included in the ban reason but yeah. I would also like to say thank you to Shards for not pk my character as he was fair and kind in that aspect and I really appreciate it. If this ban appeal gets denied, I hold no hard feelings, I am just trying to get my point across and if there is any information that I am not aware of and that it is my fault then feel free to deny this ban appeal.

I believe his staff name is Spaceium (my bad if written wrong) Even if it was in a joking manner he still said it in a staff sit and you did not intervene. Also when you pulled me into the staff sit I was saying "oh no, not again, it was a fair fight" because I guessed it was for me to be pked and it is frustrating to lose a character. When I read your question, I was going to answer and all of a sudden my char gets pked. I got no time to answer. Honestly, the fact the guy was laughing and I was being laughed at does not help in a staff sit man. I was protecting myself too because the clip only shows the gunfight situation and the person robbing the car, but it does not show me almost getting killed by a random woman and previous interactions with the cop. I felt my life in danger and also my friend´s life in danger. I acted accordingly to save my friend´s skin and my own skin, especially taking into consideration the cop is corrupt and all that. It is not just a matter of self-defence but also the cop initiated the violence by trying to arrest me and also by shooting at a friendly and therefore I also felt he was gonna shoot at me. Overall I think this situation could have been handled much better from both parties (both cops and myself) because in the heat of the moment you only think about saving your skin so don´t be so harsh on me. No one likes to lose a character. If I can get a chance to play on the character again then so be it, I would be grateful

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: After consulting with a staff member I was told to do this pk appeal as the pk itself had broken some rules. Namely, the fact I did not initiate the gunfight but instead the cop who shot first (act of self-defense). In this case, the act of self-defense was because the cop was shooting my friend who stole their car and I defended my friend. I was told that because the cop initiated the act of violence that I should not get pked. I also do not appreciate that the player who called for the staff sit was disrespectful, laughing on my face as if getting someone pked is their greatest achievement in life. On top of this, the staff member who did not even let me speak because the player was saying "100k" for not pking my char and I thought I could give the 100k to not get pked and the staff member did not even let me speak nor tell my side of the story. The only thing the staff member had to say was to laugh alongside the player + just telling me I was gonna get pked as if that is fair. And a staff member told me that saying someone´s not getting pked if they pay 100k is against the rules and I was not aware of this and the staff member pking me ignored a rule breaking just because he wanted my char to get pked ignoring the whole situation and context (I mean, not even caring to ask me about what happened in the first place) I was not even given the chance to ask questions about the pk. This is really frustrating. Check the logs to see who shot first. (99% sure it was the cop who initiated it). He might have missed some shots against my friend who stole his car and against me but pretty sure it was them. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: I don´t (I´m a dumbass who forgot to activate medal and clip the whole situation).
