  1. In-Game Name(s): Dante Barone, Giovanni Zella, Naya Solito, Rajveer "Freshie" Rathore Steam Name: Roronoa Zoro Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/voicecontrol/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:565673839 Discord Username: @swlvft Age: 23 When did you first join the server: January 7th, 2026 Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 2w 6d 6h 24m Time Zone: EST How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: I can realistically dedicate around 4-6 hours per day, and more on certain days depending on my schedule. Have you read the rules?: Yes Do you have a working microphone?: Yes Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: No, but I am willing to learn quickly. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes ------------------------------------------------- What is your motivation/reason for applying?:* I think the main reason I’m applying just comes down to how much time I’ve actually put into Diverge. Since I joined on January 7th I’ve put over 500 hours into my main character, so I’m on pretty consistently and I’ve seen a lot of different situations play out. After a while it just feels like I should be doing more than just roleplaying and actually helping out on the staff side too. I’ve seen situations where staff handled things really well and it kept everything calm, and I’ve also seen situations go the opposite way and turn into OOC arguments. That’s probably the biggest reason I want to apply, because I’d rather be someone who helps keep things fair and under control instead of letting it get messy. I didn’t apply earlier because I didn’t want to rush into it without actually understanding how the server works. I wanted to spend time playing, see how rules are used in real situations, and get a better feel for the community first. At this point I feel like I have that, and I think I could be useful as staff. Why should you be considered over other candidates?:* I wouldn’t say I should be chosen over everyone else, but I do think I bring a good mix of experience and understanding of how the server works. I’ve spent a lot of time on Diverge across different situations, so I’ve seen how roleplay can go right and also how it can go wrong, which helps when it comes to understanding context instead of just looking at things at face value. I also take rules seriously, not just in a technical sense but in how they’re meant to be applied. A lot of situations aren’t just black and white, so being able to stay fair, look at both sides, and not let bias get in the way is something I think is important, and something I try to do. At the end of the day, I’d just try to handle things properly and consistently. I’m active, I understand the server, and I’d approach staff situations with a level head rather than jumping to conclusions or escalating things further. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): Yes, I’ve had some moderation experience in other online communities. It wasn’t anything super formal, but I was dealing with reports, helping resolve issues between players, and making sure rules were followed. Even though it’s a different platform, it still taught me a lot about staying fair, not jumping to conclusions, and just handling situations calmly instead of letting things escalate. I wouldn’t say I’m super experienced, but I’m definitely not going into this completely blind either. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I haven’t been banned on any of your servers. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?:* I’d say I’m pretty well known just from being active and involved in a lot of different situations around the server. I’ve interacted with a lot of different people and groups, so I’m not really stuck in one circle, which helped me get a better feel for the community overall. As for my reputation, I think most people see me as someone who takes roleplay seriously and doesn’t try to turn everything into an OOC issue. I usually try to keep things in character and handle situations properly instead of escalating them. I think that’s something that would carry over well into a staff position. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: One of my favorite moments was the recent racket event where different factions had to compete for packages and targets. It was super chaotic, but in a good way, and it felt like everyone was fully engaged in the RP. It stood out to me because it brought a lot of people together and created a lot of interaction across different groups instead of everyone just staying in their own lanes. Events like that are what make the server feel active and fun. I’d definitely like to help be part of something like that in the future, whether it’s assisting or helping host it. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Winchester, Crocie, Sips, Toasty ------------------------------------------------- Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: If I’m off-duty and I witness it, I’d clip or record what happened so there’s clear evidence. After that, I’d either make a ticket or let on-duty staff know so someone who’s currently handling sits can deal with it. If a ticket is already up, I’d send whatever evidence I have to the staff member handling it and explain what I saw. I wouldn’t take the sit myself since I was directly involved as a witness. If no staff are available at all, I’d go on-duty to make sure the situation doesn’t get ignored, but I’d still try to keep my involvement minimal and base everything on evidence and logs rather than just my own perspective. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: If I noticed something like that, I wouldn’t jump straight to accusing them. I’d pay attention first and make sure I actually have clear examples of what’s happening, whether that’s clips or anything that shows a pattern instead of just one situation. Once I’m sure there’s actually an issue, I’d bring it up privately to a higher staff member or upper administration and show them what I’ve got. I wouldn’t call it out publicly or try to handle it myself, since stuff like that should be dealt with properly and through the right people. At the end of the day, staff should be held to the same standard as everyone else. If there’s a pattern of abuse, it should be looked into, just in a calm and professional way. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Yes, it does count as possible bias, so the first thing I’d do is avoid taking the sit if another staff member is available. I’d let someone else handle it so it stays completely fair for both sides. If I was the only staff online and had to deal with it, I’d ignore the fact that I know them and just go off evidence. I’d get both sides, check clips or logs, and treat it like any other ticket. Just because they don’t usually act like that doesn’t mean they couldn’t have broken a rule in that situation. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t let my relationship with them affect the outcome. If they broke a rule, they’d be punished the same as anyone else.
  2. While I believe everyone should have a chance, sometimes it’s good to not give the benefit of the doubt, and in this case, Andy. Like us all, Andy is also human, and understands social cues and intercations to a certain extent. Staff are people who understand what it truly means to be for the people, speak for them and carefully dissect the issue, for everyone to come to an agreement. I cannot see Andy properly discussing with someone their mistakes, nor can I properly see Andy actually benefit the community as a whole. I apologize, but -1. Have a blessed day to all!
  3. Yeah I agree with that. If someone is actively lockpicking a car in front of the owner they’re obviously putting themselves at risk. Most of the time though I imagine this happening when the owner isn’t around and the car is just parked somewhere, which is why I was thinking more about the longer process after the car is stolen (tracker removal, stripping parts, etc).
  4. I went through the thread you linked and I get the concerns that were brought up there, especially the stuff about alt characters and people farming money from stolen cars. The way that suggestion was set up though was basically just steal car → sell car → get paid, which is probably why people were worried about abuse. What I was thinking about was a little different and more about giving the mechanic an actual purpose instead of it just being a payout. Right now we can already lockpick vehicles, but realistically most of the time people just steal a car, drive it around for a bit, and then ditch it somewhere. Since cars can also have premium tracking, once it gets reported stolen the police get the location and description, which already creates some interaction. The issue is there’s not really anything after that. What I had in mind was more of a process where the car actually gets used for something. Like stealing it would just be the first step. For example it could be something like: steal car bring it somewhere to remove the tracker then bring it to a chop / mechanic location Instead of just selling the whole car for money, maybe the point could be stripping parts off the vehicle. Cars already have upgrades like turbo tuning which costs around 200k, so it could be interesting if stolen vehicles could be brought somewhere and have upgrades removed from them and then installed onto another car. That way the system isn’t just about stealing a car for quick money, it’s more about the parts and the process. It would also create more chances for police to get involved. If the tracker removal or stripping parts takes time, the car is still traceable during that window and police could intercept before it gets dismantled. The main thing I was thinking about was just turning vehicle theft into an actual RP chain instead of it ending the moment someone steals the car. Right now a stolen car usually just disappears after a few minutes, so it feels like there’s room to expand that into something a bit deeper. PS: I also think focusing more on stripping parts instead of selling whole cars might help avoid some of the alt character issues that were mentioned in the older thread, since it wouldn’t just be a quick money payout from stealing a car.
  5. That's a good point honestly. I wouldn't see vehicle theft the same way as mugging though since most of the time the person stealing the car isn't even interacting with the owner directly. It's more like stealing property than holding someone up. Usually the owner isn't even there, and the police already get the alert once the car gets reported stolen because of the tracking system. If the owner of their faction later tracks down the person who stole it, I'd see that more as a separate RP situation that develops from it rather than it automatically being treated like a robbery situation. I think the bigger risk for the criminals would come from things like getting caught while removing the tracker, being found at a chop shop, or police responding while the car is still traceable. The main idea behind the suggestion was really just to give vehicle theft an actual purpose and create longer RP chains instead of people just stealing cars and ditching them a few minutes later.
  6. I’ve been thinking about how some current mechanics could lead into deeper criminal gameplay if they were expanded a bit. Right now we can lockpick vehicles, but realistically the only thing people do with stolen cars is drive them around for a bit and then ditch them. It feels like the mechanic is there but it doesn’t really lead anywhere. Since vehicles can already have premium tracking, once a car is reported stolen the police automatically get the vehicle description and location. That part works well because it creates a reason for police to respond. The problem is criminals don’t really have a next step besides abandoning the car. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vehicle Theft → Tracker Removal → Chop Shops One idea would be allowing stolen vehicles to be brought to hidden mechanic spots or illegal garages where players can attempt to remove the GPS tracker. The removal could take some time, meaning the car's still traceable while criminals are working on it, giving police a chance to intercept. If the tracker is removed successfully, the vehicle could then be taken to a chop shop. At the chop shop, players could dismantle the car and receive things like: scrap materials illegal vehicle parts a payout depending on the vehicle This would turn vehicle theft into an actual criminal loop instead of just a temporary joyride. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Black Market Buyers Stolen goods could then be sold through black markets buyers. These could be NPC buyers that appear in rotating locations around the map and purchase things like: vehicle parts stolen electronics jewelry contraband Because the location moves, criminals would have to transport the goods across the city instead of selling everything in one place. This also gives police opportunities for surveillance, stakeouts, or interceptions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cargo Truck Robberies Another idea that could fit well would be cargo truck robberies. Delivery trucks moving goods across the city could be intercepted by factions. Players would need to: hijack the truck secure the cargo transport it somewhere else to sell Police could receive alerts like cargo theft in progress or hijacked delivery vehicle, which would create moving situations instead of static robberies. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- High Value Transport Robberies A similar system could work with armored vans or jewelry shipments traveling between locations. Factions could attempt to intercept the transport while police respond to protect it. This would naturally lead to bigger RP situations and vehicle pursuits. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall Idea The goal isn't just adding more crimes, but creating connected criminal activities. For example: steal vehicle → remove tracker → chop car for parts → sell parts to black market buyer or intercept cargo truck → steal goods → transport them somewhere else → sell through the black market This kind of system would encourage planning, teamwork, and longer RP chains, while also giving law enforcement more situations to investigate and respond to.
