+1 I might be biased on this topic as I am a part of it... but I still want to state my opinion. I was in the old EMS faction before it was disbanded. I understand the fears of Fox and Canadian Bacon on this one, inactivity is a big problem, especially on legal factions based on RP alone. But I think that it is important to look at the ENTRE picture here... In my opinion, there are more positive effects of implementing this faction than negative ones. Firstly, lots of Criminal Factions that are more involved in serious passive RP have already shown interest in the comeback of the EMS faction as a whole. The private company we currently operate is already involved with multiple other businesses, we do medical operations, move around the city in our ambulances, and make appointments with individuals interested in getting more than just a medkit after a shootout. Secondly, someone got the financial aspect argument out, that is a very good point to bring up. It's important to note that everyone in the company at the moment doesn't work for the money. All of them know that the pay is little to nothing. These people are, for the vast majority, just players who miss the old Serious Roleplay that came with EMS. This is why I am personally into this project. I want to bring back this lost roleplay. Current members are passionate and often veterans of the server. We just want to get Medical and Legal RP a serious option to look at when coming in the server. Thirdly, we don't want to impose our ways. People will still be able to simply get a medkit at the NPC and go on their way. This faction, as stated earlier, would probably work with factions wanting more passive roleplay and with the government. If you don't want to be a part of the medical RP, you don't need to. It's solely based on a voluntary basis. Lots of people want that, I don't see why we could not give it to them. Lastly, someone asked me why we should be in a faction and not only stay as a private company. It's relatively simple... We want to own and operate a building. We want to get the Ambulance as a faction vehicle, show current investors the real work done and, of course, get a better structure and organization done. I think it would be a nice addition. We are active and just want to give more options to people. Thanks : )
